TIAP-SYSTEM TIA Portal systeemcursus S7-1200/1500

Course type

Siemens TIA Portal

Intro

Programming applications with TIA Portal Graph.

Target group

This training is intended for Siemens TIA Portal PLC programmers who want to learn how to build Graph applications using TIA Portal Graph.

Previous knowledge

TIAP-PROG, TIAP-UPDATE module or equivalent knowledge and experience. Some programming experience is therefore required when dealing with the TIA Portal programming package and S7-PLCs.

Objective

After this course, you can independently create a program with state diagrams using the TIA Portal Graph development software.

S7-GRAPH is the Siemens implementation of the “Sequential Function Chart” (SFC) programming language as defined by the IEC 61131 standard.

This programming language lends itself particularly well to the control of sequential processes.

Global content

  • Why program in TIA Portal Graph?
  • General construction and operation of a sequence;
  • Permanent instructions, interlocks and supervisions;
  • PLC implementation of a Graph sequence;
  • TIA Portal building blocks for implementation of a TIA-GRAPH program;
  • Construction of OBs, FCs, FBs and DBs in Graph;
  • Select statements: IF, CASE OF;
  • Input and construction of Interlocks;
  • Repeat statements: FOR, WHILE, REPEAT;
  • Control statements: EXIT, RETURN;
  • Built-in functions;
  • Basic concepts of programming languages in accordance with IEC 61131-3;
  • Jumps and transitions;
  • Self-defined data types: UDT;
  • Use of Instance DBs in Graph 7 via SCL;
  • Interpretation of compiler output;
  • Debugging of TIA Graph sequences: through steps and manual operation;
  • Testing and debugging possibilities for TIA Portal Graph programs.
